The Experience

Step into a world where ancient symbolism meets Himalayan warmth. The Chakra Verandah Rooms open onto a long, flower-lined colonial promenade — a shared outdoor corridor draped in hanging lanterns, blooming seasonal flowers, and the living green of century-old Pine and Deodar trees just beyond the railing. This is your first breath of Landour — unhurried, fragrant, and deeply peaceful.

Each room is announced by a striking hand-painted Chakra mandala at its entrance, setting the spiritual tone before you even step inside.



Your Private Sanctuary

Pass through the arched entrance into your own semi-private sitting porch — a warm, intimate space featuring a comfortable sofa set, a small side table, and views directly into the forest. This is where morning chai tastes best.

The bedroom beyond is a beautifully crafted retreat with whitewashed exposed brick walls, warm wooden ceiling beams, and rich honey-toned wooden flooring. A plush double bed with crisp white linen sits at the heart of the room, framed by curated wall art and a stylish mosaic-frame mirror. Two arched windows with sunny yellow wooden frames flood the room with natural light and frame living portraits of the surrounding trees.

A cosy additional sitting nook inside the room features a cushioned bench with a raw driftwood backrest — a lovely spot to read, journal, or simply watch the mist roll through the pines.

The Bathroom

A true design statement — the en-suite bathroom is clad floor-to-ceiling in raw Himalayan stone, giving it the feel of a natural grotto. Features include a wall-mounted WC, vessel basin on a solid wood countertop, backlit round vanity mirror, magnifying mirror, hair dryer, glass shower partition with overhead shower and hand shower, and a geyser for hot water.


Shared Promenade

All 6 rooms in this category share a beautifully landscaped open verandah corridor — lined with potted plants, flowering beds, iron lanterns, and a green railing that opens directly to the pine forest slope. This promenade is a social and meditative space — guests often linger here with a book or morning coffee before heading out to explore Landour.
